★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's one of famous restaurant for '갈비찜 Korean-style Braised Short Rips'. I recommends you have '갈비찜' with ''냉면 Naengmyeon (cold noodle)' . It's so awesome!!!

They serve very authentic Hamhung Naeng-Myun(= cold spicy noodle from Hamhung province in North Korea). The noodle is very good and the spice matches well with it. I recommend Hoi(Sashimi) Naeng-Myun.
For dinner, you should try Galbi-zzim(marinated beef stew). The dish has beef, carrot, potato with soybean sauce. It may taste a little sweet but that's a characteristic of modern Seoul food. The menu is great with so-ju(Korean liquor)
The atmosphere is very traditional Korean. Actually the restaurant used to be the second house of a famous Korean strong man in the history.
One catch is that you have to sit on the room floor without a chair, which can be a painful experience for foreign visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had their specialty, 갈비찜 (broiled short-ribs), 만두 (dumplings), and 냉면 (cold noodles) to finish off. They were all pretty good! Being a 냉면 fan, I especially liked their 회냉면 (with sashimi in it). The building of the restaurant itself has history in it, so you can taste the history of Korea from the interior &exterior of the building itself.
It may be a bit pricey for the amount you get, but I think it's worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very tasty lunch of 갈비탕 and 왕만두 at a popular restaurant near our house that we finally visited.
We've recently been enjoying 갈비탕 as it is very nutritious and the beef ribs have been good to eat. This dish is nice and simple but still very flavourful in the broth and just the natural taste you get from the beef ribs. I really enjoyed the nice tender beef on the ribs which I would dip into the mustard sauce and there was plenty of meat on the 3 ribs that i got.
The 왕만두 was also well made and there was plenty of filling inside that was very well seasoned and balanced.
What I enjoyed about the meal was the natural flavours you get from the different ingredients and you don't need to add anything extra as the quality of the ingredients is what you enjoy.
