★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 아인슈페너 오리지널과 그레이(흑임자), 바스크 치즈케이크, 브라우니. 직원분이 굉장히 친절하게 메뉴를 소개하고 먹는 법까지 설명해주신다. 치즈케이든 아인슈페너이든 위에 올라가는 크림이 맛있었다. 달달한 우유 크림 같지만 묵직하게 무게감 있는 질감. 크림을 제외한 커피와 치즈케이크 자체는 딱 예상가는 그 맛으로 무난한 편. 흑임자 아인슈페너가 비교적 덜 달았다.
오히려 브라우니가 기대보다 맛있었다. 겉은 단단하고 바삭한데 안쪽은 포크 자국이 선명하게 남을 정도로 밀도 있고 진하게 단 맛.
공간이 주는 편안함과 분위기도, 맛도 만족스러운 축에 속한다. 지인과 대화하며 오래 머물고 싶었지만 1시경만 되어도 사람으로 붐빈다. 진짜 번잡해서 일어났다. 오픈시간대는 한산하니 일찍 방문하기를 추천.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A local's favourite, Alternative has been at the heart of Songpa-dong's cafe scene for more than four years now. The large ground floor space has it's own coffee roasting lab, a bakery (scones, cheese cakes, financiers and pound cakes) and table seating for upwards of 30 customers.
The highlight of the service counter is a bright "hulk" green La Marzocco Linea PB, one of several that appear to have been made for the Korean market. Grinders on either side include a classic set up of Mazzer, Victoria Arduino and a Mahl Konig EK43.
At the time of visiting Alternative had two blends and two single origins on offer:
1. Paul Desmond (Brazil, Guatemala, Colombia)
2. Oscar Peterson (Ethiopia, Bolovia)
3. Brazil Sertao (Carmo de Minas > Yellow Bourbon > Pulped Natural)
4. Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 (Shakiso > Heirloom > Natural)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i was the only one there when i arrived and it was a little uncomfortable, but the atmosphere got better once it became busier
i got the ‘noisegarden’ (mugwort einspanner) and the cream was delicious, but the americano base was too sour. i also got a black sesame scone and it was huge! but not very flavorful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee shop itself is very lovely and they get you delicious coffee. Also the staff at the counter is friendly. But there were (multiple) fruit flies indoor, which is usually not a great sign to be spotted at a place where foods are served. I'm happy to give it another shot to verify whether it was just a temporary matter or something more chronic.
