On August 29, at 11 am, I was denied treatment. I got refused for unreasonable reasons although I tested negative for COVID 19. The reasons given by the counter staff were inconsistent at all. 1. The first reason was that the Disaster Management Administration (?) was informed that if an overseas entrant has not passed 2 weeks, they cannot receive treatment. I explained that I was a 'self-quarantine exempt' who entered from abroad, completed the second dose of Pfizer (Korean nationality) in July, and had tested negative for Corona after entering Korea and before boarding the plane. I contacted the local public health center and asked them to check, and they said that I do not have a Korean cell phone because I live overseas. 2. After calling the public health center and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the person on the phone said 'treatment is possible', so The staff member said, "The treatment is a guideline for the hospital, so if you are less than 2 weeks after entering the country, you will not receive treatment." Then you should have explained the hospital guidelines from the beginning and said no, so why are you asking the public health center to check it?? Vaccines given abroad are not recognized. I was vaccinated with Pfizer, and whether I get the vaccine in Korea or abroad, the company called Pfizer is the same, so I asked why it wasn't approved. 3. Even if the first corona test was negative, there were cases where the second test was positive. Then, if the second test is negative, will it be treated within 2 weeks? Reasons for refusal of treatment that do not match. At first, the government guidelines said no, but when the Yongsan-gu Public Health Center and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it was possible to treat them, they changed the word to hospital guidelines. I want to talk to the manager, so I have to wait before going to work. I contacted the Yongsan-gu public health center and inquired again, and after checking my records, I am a 'can be treated', but the public health center cannot prevent the hospital from refusing treatment for any reason. The person in charge of the public health center confirmed to the counter staff that I was eligible for treatment, but I also refused treatment. I asked the counter staff if these guidelines were the opinion of Director Woo-Yeol Lee, and he said yes. What's even more absurd is the counter's notice, "For those who have entered overseas within two weeks or those who are subject to self-quarantine... Omitted... 'You need to contact the public health center first to check if treatment is available'" According to the guide, I received confirmation that I was able to receive treatment at the public health center (Heeun Jong-geol, the person in charge of the health center), why are you refusing treatment? Regardless of whether the public health center is checked or not, if you are unable to receive medical treatment for overseas arrivals within 2 weeks, please inform us properly. Let's see if we can report to other higher-level organizations so that there are no other objectors. Director Woo-Yeol Lee, please come up with consistent guidelines.
