★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really helpful waiter. Non native speakers: beware of your selection. The salmon sashimi and spicy octopus were amazing. The marinated prawns were literally shrimp jello. Rough. Avoid the gizzards unless you know you love gizzards.
You must pick 3 dishes and alcohol to eat here.
Awesome decor and staff!! Loved it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my favourite place in Seoul. I take friends from other parts of city to here all the time. You don't get to see many places that stay this long (from 1992!) in this city due to gentrification etc..so this is a real gem. Over 200 selections of traditional alcohol beverages and impressive Korean pub food. It is slightly expensive for the location (not necessarily in the center of Hongdae) but you really get what you pay for here. Potato Cheese is a must try and ask for recommendation if you dont know much about Makgulie like me. What a happy place. P.S. que can be really long on the weekends. Make sure to get there before the busy hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shhh! This is a secret find. Traditional Korean alcohol pub. Just try what you feel from the menu. It's for booze nerds. The food is Korean bar snacks updated for modern palates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WHAT A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. I couldn't possibly be happier with this place. The food, the atmosphere, the service, the staff, everything was a 10/10.
The manager was able to tell me profiles and fun facts about every drink I tried and was quick to answer even though the place was busy.
highly recommend this spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty nice Korean bar with wide variety of Korean drinks. They have more than 50 traditional drinks - from spirits to Makgeollie. The food here is not bad - prepared in the open kitchen they serve traditional cuisine with little bit of western touch - call it fusion, they might. Service is pretty good but you must expect waiting over 30 minutes. Recommended.
